It's much faster with JM+TM compared to TM only...

It was just reported to me that today's nightly build has issues/crashes:

today's trunk build crashes on non SSE2 CPUs with Jaegermonkey turned on

So just to confirm, to turn JM on, we set all of the prefs in the first post to true?

I just had a crash. At Firefox 4: list of supported platforms and clicked on this link "I will maintain a de-facto list on this page: https://wiki.mozilla.org/Firefox/4/Platforms "

http://crash-stats.mozilla.com/report/i ... 4642100912

No crash with javascript.options.methodjit.content;false.

How can you tell that it's non SSE2 related?

Non SSE2 hasn't been officially dropped yet according to that wiki at least. Man if it is, I'm screwed. I can't afford to upgrade. Or I'll just have to leave it turned off.

i get this in the error console when i visit joost.com the whole flash interface also is not loading up @ all

Error: uncaught exception: [Exception... "Security error" code: "1000" nsresult: "0x805303e8 (NS_ERROR_DOM_SECURITY_ERR)" location: "http://www.joost.com/c/61.35.447054/app/joost/page.js Line: 4650"]

Error: Could not load class 'joost.ui.Gus'. Did you spell the name correctly and use a full path, like 'dijit.form.Button'?
Source File: http://www.joost.com/c/61.35.447054/app/dojo/dojo.js
Line: 5741

funny thing with a new profile it works but with this profile and -safe-mode and everything reset and extension disabled it doesn't, somehow my profile seems corrupted (doesn't surprise me really seeing that it's very old and made up practically every update since namaroka to minefield switch) though i really would like to find out what is causing this in my current profile (it must have something todo with a security setting i guess that's not really reset @ all in -safe-mode).

methodjit.chrome is not yet on by default. More so that the others, use at your own risk.

EDIT: tracejit.chrome was not on by default until well after tracejit.content was on by default. JM is mimicking TM in that regard.

uhh wow joost.com is also a very heavy javascript dependent page (the whole gui and dom interaction is done via javascript, impressive) (since they changed from their own plugin to flash) i guess it would be perfect for JSBench :D in the category of Multimedia Video sites a more extreme Youtube even :)
