Hope dies penultimate. What remains till the end is sarcasm. And I have plenty of it.

(Linux) On Sun spider-java script five weeks ago 935 ms, today 557.9 ms.
Have run the test 3 times today with about same results, significant progress! Same build in safe-mode > 1173.0 ms?

Maybe you turned off JM and/or TM in safe mode.

Safe mode automatically turns off JIT.

i can’t even turn

Code: Select all

javascript.options.methodjit.content
off, because the toggling itself causes a crash.

it also crashes when i visit a webpage with javascript, the addon pane, or when i check “don’t show this again” above “i’ll be careful, i promise”…

where is the bug report so i can see when i’ll be able to play around with minefield again?

Start in safe-mode and then turn it off or edit your prefs.js file. Alternatively, use a build from the tracemonkey branch (http://ftp.mozilla.org/pub/mozilla.org/ ... key-win32/)
