Firefox 4.0 64 Bit

Post by GTK66 »

Well I got adventureous and am now trying this out. The new Adobe flash seems to work fine. I created my own profile as instructed by Ed. Where is the chrome foldcer and or userChrome.css? I can't seem to find it. How do I get 64 Bit Files to stop loading.

^Be nice if they would include that in the 32 bit version!

I'm giving it a try too, so far I have not had any issues. Youtube seems to work fine with the 64bit flash, my favourtie add-ons all seems to work fine. Overall a very painless experience so far.

Does any know if there is a 64 bit version of the Firefox QuickTime plugin ?

I looked on the apple site and also looked at QT Lite (whcih would be my preference) but as far as I can tell there are no native 64bit versions.

I'm just glad that it has flash now. Makes it a lot more fun for testing purposes.

No, there isn't a 64-bit QuickTime plugin.

JM+TM performance is pretty bad on 64 bit. A full 200+ ms slower on my machine with SunSpider.

Interesting, it's not that bad on AWFY.

Because it isn't measured on Windows.
