Re: Firefox 4.0 64 Bit
you wont see any major enhancments to the 64 bit build performence wise till post firefox 4.0 since getting 4.0 out the door is top priority (and 4.0 wont ship with 64 bit)indeed regressions are a lot more likely if nothing else
what id do if i was devs is release 4.0 then start work on firefox 4.1 make firefox 4.1 top goal to get 64 bit support for windows up to par with 32 bit and to get in it some of the fetures dropped from 4.0

Re: Firefox 4.0 64 Bit
And why are you making note of a 20ms discrepancy? That's likely within the expected deviation of running the benchmark multiple times in a row. Not to mention that such a small deviation could easily be accounted for without even considering Firefox as the cause.

once fixed should mean quicker fixes for 64 bit builds

Re: Firefox 4.0 64 Bit
Indeed, overall I feel the x64 heavier and the green throbber usually needs more time to complete the rendering of pages ( maybe the "ANGLE" does the difference in x86? ).
I don't use it for a while. I'm pretty sure, now, has lost follow up with x86 and it's remarkable enough, more than some time ago.

^They get filtered out after 24 hours I believe, or at least at some sort of time interval.

Re: Firefox 4.0 64 Bit
Hello,
I got sometimes the PC completely blocked while I try to watch a Youtube video.
Nothing responds anymore;
My config. ; Win 7 64 bits, Outpost Security Suite.
I have to switch off manually the PC to recover
Anyone else ?
Cheers

That sounds like either a Flash problem, or a hardware problem.

Re: Firefox 4.0 64 Bit
Just wait to be built the new beta 12 pre x64. I of course don't know when will be ready.
Also the x64 for Mac seems that stuck on Jan 26 and since then, never seen again one newer. At least for Win there is ( was ).

I thought the regular Mac nightlies contain both x86 and x86_64 binaries?
