Firefox's Metro App version? (released sticky)
As seen in Windows 8 Developer Preview yesterday , Windows 8 will include a Metro UI with apps both on traditional desktop and on metro desktop . Seeing developer preview already out and expecting beta and rc to be out in coming weeks/months , is Firefox going to develop their Metro app/mode (like ie10 has) before Windows 8 goes RTM? Because doing it soon means more people would test Firefox on Windows 8 = more Firefox users , as Steve said , opportunity to more users
IE10 Metro Mode

I can see the UX Team jumping on that in the near future.
But Firefox runs just fine without it.

What about using Firefox for Tablets UI with Windows 8 Metro-mode?

I'm not sure that Tablet UI has enough polish. The navigation bar looks like it's been hand-drawn, scanned into a computer and then reduced to 2 colours via photoshops PNG output settings. Let's hope the Mobile team and the Desktop team have a proper pow-wow and us end-users get the best of both worlds.

That's because it is designed to fit with the Honeycomb theme. They could use a similar layout in Windows 8 with a theme that is more native.

It's interesting that the IE10 UI is closer to that of Fennec (Smartphone version) than Fennec (Tablet). Can't wait to see what Google do with Chrome. It's such a shame that the greatest UI innovation in mobile browsing is relegated to a single implementation by Mozilla.

Re: Firefox's Metro App version?
Why didn't they create a meta bug, for Windows 8 integration ?

Well, for now, the only bugs in that list ARE for Win8 integration.

Re: Firefox's Metro App version?
Ah, right. Well to me it would be something most useful on small screens though I could see it still being useful on a tablet since it works well with touch interaction.
