btw, I love the new doorhanger panels in FF16. Finally those ugly Aero borders are gone.
I know it's old news for most of you, but anyway...

+1, love them as well. Can't wait for the doorhanger download menu to come down to beta.

I can't believe it. I've been waiting for this for so long. I really do hope that Australis is implemented in 19 sometime (and that it doesn't slip, yet again). I wonder what's taking so long. Its not like its impossible right? SVG, CSS, heck images.

Re: Australis Discussion
Does that mean that you would have to click the special button to be notified about anything that is happening? I like to be told right away that redirects have been blocked, so that I can enable them if I want to. I also like to be notified that popups have been blocked. Having to keep on clicking a button all the time would be a hassle.

I think that looks way better then the older design, where it has this odd looking wave image separating the caption buttons

Re: Australis Discussion
Using the try build with the Australis tabs and I gotta be honest, it really does feel snappier. I'm enjoying it.

Re: Australis Discussion
Could that be because of Bug 750417 - closing a tab reflows the entire tab bar during the animation, making the animation crappy being fixed?
The latest nightly should have it as well, test it out and see if there is any difference between the two.

Re: Australis Discussion
Didn't they say that Australis would get rid of some nasty inefficient chrome code that's been in the tabstrip when they rushed out for Fx4?

Re: Australis Discussion
If i recall correctly we are not allowed to post links directly to ftp files. So here is a link to the comment with the link : link
I know they said that the australis style would improve performance, that's why i would like a comparison.
However my bet is that bug 750417 helped the most. Apparently it's a pretty important fix, that's also why they want to land it on aurora.
