Try "Yet Another Smooth Scrolling" addon https://addons.mozilla.org/it/firefox/a ... scrolling/ and after you stitch again on Firefox. :)

Does it make any difference if you use the arrow keys rather than the scroll buttons? What is the point of having a max and min speed (I guess MS refers to speed)? If the scrolling is to be smooth, it should be just that, not slow at first then accelerated.

This new scrolling method have problems in some sites. They scrolls very slow, one millimeter per time, don't speed up, making it useless to me.

Did they test it before the release?

Can you give us the links to those problematic sites?

The problem happened is a couple of places, but I remember this one:

http://www.kotaku.com.br/o-wii-u-tem-ou ... o-mostrou/

Start scrolling down and the speed is becoming slower and slower.

We need more Linux users to confirm that the problem is happening just here.

Don't need Linux to confirm. I see it on Windows with Fx13. Nightly is like butter on that page. If you want to see a showstopper, just look at http://www.kotaku.com.au/

Speaking of the jerky scrolling that appears after you reach about the middle of the page?
Paint flashing shows that there is an element following the page as you scroll down, which triggers invalidation of the entire content area (and causes the jerky scrolling).

Yet another thing that will likely be fixed by DLBI.

The other kotaku link is similar, but reversed: The whole content area is invalidated when you are at the top of the page, but works correctly after you scroll down enough so that the element on the right follows.

Somewhere between then and b7 it seems to have regressed (here).

Well go figure, solved, no more hesitant herky jerky behavior, it's the Smallring Magenta and Blue themes causing my problem, smooth as silk with the Default and Noia 4.

Hi!

Some users asked me how they can restore the old smooth scrolling behaviour. What's the method for that?

Edit: They want it because the scrolling is "slower" than the old version.

I don't believe there's a way to change it to the old behavior. The new smooth scrolling is THE smooth scrolling, at least for what ships out of the box.

You can try playing around with the prefs in about:config when you filter for "smoothscroll".
