From yesterday topic: The Official Win32 20120828 builds are out

Dougieha wrote:Can anyone confirm this behavior: https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=786181 ?

When I go to weatherspark (http://weatherspark.com/#!dashboard;q=C ... R%2C%20USA), with a fresh profile, I'm seeing considerable cursor lag when I move my mouse over the temperature graphs as the crosshairs catch up.

I think this started with Flash 11.4, but I'm not entirely sure as I haven't been keeping close enough track. It definitely doesn't show up in Chrome or IE with Flash 11.4.

Thanks!

Try disable Protected Mode with this way, if the problem is solve, that means it is Protected Mode problem again.
To disable Protected Mode, add the following line to your mms.cfg file located in:
Windows 32bit: C:\windows\system32\macromed\flash
Windows 64bit: C:\windows\syswow64\macromed\flash
Code: Select all
ProtectedMode=0

If the mms.cfg file does not exist, create one using any standard text editor (e.g.. notepad)
Depending on your operating system, you might need to first save the mms.cfg file to a writable location (such as your documents or desktop folder) and then copy the file into the destination folder using Windows Explorer.
To re-enable Protected Mode, simply remove the line from the mms.cfg file.

The latest Firefox nightlies have gone completely haywire for me, crashing continuously. Sometimes it only has to be open for 10 or 20 seconds and it closes.
Never had a firefox version work this bad. I realize it's a nightly but it's gone into Aurora now so I don't know if it'll be fixed but I did send bug reports in.

Started with the August 24th build. It's good in Safe Mode so that means it's extension-related and I've traced it to at least two of them. Problem is they're critical for me and are not being updated. So I'll stay with an older nightly for now.

Aurora updates were erroneously live for a while, so some users (like me) have been bumped early to the next Aurora release. Autoupdates should have been disabled until Friday. Hopefully nothing too buggy got checked in in the pre-merge rush...

From this webpage:

Is this a known bug?

The Crash folder doesn't have anything in it and about:crashes says nothing submitted even though I did send several reports. I'm running off the extracted zip, should this be installed with .exe to get a proper crash report?

What you should do is report issues with addons to the addons' authors. Try to include any steps to reproduce the issue and any errors seen in the error console, if possible. Then, check to see if they have development versions which may (try to) address the issue with the addons and Nightly.

That's the problem, the addons are not being updated and haven't been for a while.

My hope was if it's affecting enough users then maybe there's some recent change they made that can be backed out of. It not then I'm then I'm stuck on August 23rd build for who knows how long?

Believe it or not I can't even use v15 or 16 yet because with a few must sites the reply function is broken in them. It got fixed in nightly 17.0. Hopefully with v15 now out the sites will fix the problem if they can. If not then it's off to Chrome or something else.

Sorry to hear that. Have you considered learning how to code? That way you could maintain the addons for yourself.

Like me, you probably don't have the time. You could try posting topics in the Extensions area (or here in Fx Builds) describing the addon issue(s) you are experiencing. There may be someone there who can look into the addon(s) and figure out what needs to be changed in them to address the issues you are having.

You're right, not much time at all. That's still an option, maybe try to fix the addons myself. Hate to give up on Firefox since I've been using it reliably all these years. Too bad since 17.0 was the best version yet and is slated to go into ESR.

I get some images where you have your download count. You're getting the alt text for them.

I often notice, that when there are no new win32 nightly builds for a few days, as it's the case now, that for other platforms like mac or linux new builds have been available more or less daily.

Is it just that I only notice when win32 builds are late and this does happen to other platforms as well or is that something win32 specific?
