Right now it's purposefully limited to advertisements.
Tip of the day: If it has "toolbar" in the name, it's crap.

On Nightly there is an option on about:config "shumway.swf.whitelist" - I don't know if is present on Beta and/or if it appears when you install the extension.

I would wait until it became available in a beta.

That said Windows Nightly users get to use it for Amazon product tour videos and IMDb trailers.

Shumway made some headlines a couple weeks ago (TechCrunch and CNET) when it was enabled (in the Nightly channel only) for playing Amazon product tour videos. Shumway has now been enabled for playing IMDb trailer videos.

Next up is ads.
The team’s current focus is playing Flash ads in Shumway instead of Flash. Using Shumway will reduce the number of Flash plugin instantiations, which is correlated with Flash deadlocks, and reduce page jank. Flash ads have also exploited Flash security bugs to install malware. Shumway should protect against many of those exploits.

I have it running by default for everything flash, and it's hit and miss.

Well having the xml parser broken doesn't help. Hopefully they get that fixed soon.

What's the pref for everything flash? Or did you just delete the whitelist?

If you find the whitelist pref, delete the value and leave a * wildcard instead.

What can you currently see using Shumway?
Are Youtube videos still out of the question?
Has the Flash plugin to be enabled in order for Shumway to work?

@ Drumbrake - :
1. see "shumway.swf.whitelist" in about:config
2. not whitelisted by default (see 1)
3. yes

Tired of constant Firefox UI changes? XUL extensions are not working anymore? Try SeaMonkey, Waterfox Classic, Pale Moon.

Thanks, I'll have to to give it another try. A long time ago I tried it and nothing worth of note, aside of a couple of demos, could be seen.
