Re: Tabbrowser Extensions has problem(s?) with 0.7

Not sure if it is a Firebird bug or Tabbrowser extensions must be updated.
Running on RedHat 8

Have you tried the latest release of TBE version 1.8.2003100401 ?

I have been playing around with the OX Moz F-Bird 0.7 RC. It's better than 0.6.1 and it appears now to be at the same level as the Windows Firebird builds i've tried. The only thing that annoys me about the RC is bug 210553.

Refuses to Load on WinXP Pro

The 8th October 0.7 trunk refuses to load on WinXP Pro. There is a brief start-up in Task Manager and the it shuts down. Profile directory has been cleaned out in advance.

How disappointing. I'm anxious to download the new rc3 build with gtk2+xft for Linux but the mozilla.org ftp site is slower than molassas in January.

Crap!

Edit: Never mind...got it now.

RC3

Post by Will Rickards WT »

Where are you determining it is RC3?
I see one dated 10/08/2003 that I just downloaded and installed.
But help about lists:
Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.0; en-US; rv:1.5) Gecko/20031007 Firebird/0.7

Is there some webpage you guys are checking out to see when there is a new Release Candidate?

The site was glacial when I downloaded about 20 mins before 0100h Thursday morning.

No problems so far.

Firebird isn't packed with RPM. It is packed in tar.gz but in binary form. (Meaning just untar and run)

Something changed that breaks many themes. I can't use my prefered theme (Nautilus) for the same reason - no scroll bar.

Just switch back to the default theme, and restart Firebird, and you should have your scroll bar back.

Alfred did split the Nautlus themes for Mozilla and the birds now called Nautipolis and available under the Thunderbird link at his website http://www.geocities.com/alfredkayser/m ... themes.htm Having said that I am using a modified version by daihard available here http://forums.mozillazine.org/viewtopic.php?t=23437

OK this might all be irrelevant as I have just noticed Alfred has released a new version yesterday 10/10/03. Just installed, seemed to go well with no restart necessary am using Gecko/20031007 Firebird/0.7

Hope that helps.

OS X Build crashes on downloads...

Post by unother »

Download functionality appears to be broken with the OSX Candidate (20031007)

Similar bug is in 1.5RC2, but not as fatal (Save Link As... works; in Firebird, the program does nothing when you do that)

Anyone else seeing this?

MacOS X 10.1.5
