Hi,
After updating to 2015-04-24 I can't play adobe flash on both 64 bit and 32 bit.
Latest Adobe flash installed 17.0.0.169.
I get a message this plugin is disabled.
On plugins page Shockwave Flash looks OK, but Primetime Content Decryption Module says it will be installed shortly, however this message is constant.
Please help.

Thanks,

Maxim.

I've got Flash set to Always Ask and I use NoScript and Cookie Monster. When Flash didn't work I assumed it was an interaction between these addons - which is very frequently the case.

The following method of enabling flash on a per video basis might be inaccurate. I'm so used to it occurring that I didn't pay strict attention to the steps I performed to resolve the issue. However, some permutation of these steps should get the video to play.

  1. Go to any site with a video that won't play.
  2. Clicking on the flash video ("f" logo) would cause the Allow Flash dialog to appear, but allowing it would not make video play.
  3. Hover the mouse pointer over each of these videos, taking note of the URL link's ending. (I've got FF set to show all links on hover.)
  4. Left click or hover the mouse over NoScript's icon/Blocked Objects/<1st or 2nd flash item listed>
  5. Compare the URL link ending for each video, matching the ending from the video to the listing in NoScript. Click Allow.
  6. Allow the video time to download and play.
  7. If the video does not play, repeat the last three steps with the other flash item listed. (Sometimes videos are being served by other sources/download mirrors?)
  8. If the video still does not play, check cookie permissions. Cookies may need to be enabled either per Session, or Temporarily. (Some websites don't allow proper functionality if you only enable Session.)
  9. Video should now play properly.
