Version numbers (for extensions at least, didn't check plugins) are also in the "more" link from the extensions page entries.

Also, the newest Classic Theme Restorer beta puts the version numbers back for both extensions and plugins. The check box is at the bottom of the "General UI (1)" section of the CTR options.
