Getting Secure Connection Failed error when going to google

I'm getting this error when trying to go to google in firefox. This just started happening yesterday after I upgraded to Win 10. This doesn't happen on chrome either. I'm on firefox 40 beta.

Check your system time and date. The win ten update sometimes changes it

Everything seems to be okay on that end.

I believe Avast's realtime protection has been interfering with certificates for people that have upgraded to win10.

There's also reports that Windows's parental controls messes up SSL, and the program "Replay Media Catcher" does the same.

(Yesterday, I had some sort of Certificate issue with Gmail in Eudora (email client) & I had to go in & specifically "trust" a new certificate.

So maybe I'll be doing the same in a few months time?
I've had this occur once before in the not too distant past.)
