Firefox 42.0b4 is now available

Post by WaltS48 »

As an upgrade to Firefox 42.0b3 released on some date in the past, or as an update to Firefox 42.0b2, also released on some date in the past, or as a full download from Mozilla Firefox Web Browser — Download Firefox Beta in your language — Mozilla

Firefox — Beta Notes (42.0beta) — Mozilla

Releases Scheduling

I'm still seeing the spacing of items on the Bookmarks Toolbar to be too close together. Also seen in Safe mode and a new profile.

Anyone else seeing that?

Yes, I'm getting the squashed toolbar items also. It started when they changed back from gtk3 to gtk2 on beta.

It's also squashing the badge number over the https everywhere icon.

Thanks!

I can fix it by adding separators between the folders, Right click on the folder and select New Separator.

Wonder what the bug number is, if there is one?

I noticed that you two, with this problem, are using Linux. I do not see this with Windows 10. I wonder if that makes any difference?

Bugs like 1211880 and 1210086 may be related.

This is a issue with changes between use of GTK 2 and 3 on Linux so yes Windows would not have the issue.

I can confirm that the spacing issue with the bookmark bar is fixed in beta5.

Yes, I used the candidate build. I'm assuming it won't get broken again between now and later today when it's officially out :)

Just a note - Many thanks for these beta threads. Very useful.
