Yeah, I'm getting this same issue.

Edit: It happens on Youtube every time I switch back to the tab of a playing video. It's pretty much just the audio.

Yeah, I'm getting this same issue.

Probably this bug https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=1272422 Its been fixed, and should be in today's Nightly build.

Did they really backed out the patched that made the YT audio skip when tab switching or are there some remaining on the build that was just released ?

While the audio doesn't go foobar after tab switching, now the video does, after tab switching the video hangs for multiple seconds, then suddenly goes into "fast-forward" mode, before it stalls again for multiple seconds, to eventually catch up, really clumsy these Mozilla html5 implications, especially when compared to how Edge and Chrome perform in that regard.
