M-C HOURLY builds starting with cset: https://hg.mozilla.org/mozilla-central/ ... 90b28706b1 is not restoring your session. Only loads 'blank' New-Tabs.

Trying to restore the session from the backup files results in the same - blank New Tabs for your session and all data seems lost as my sessionstore.js went from 120kb to 13kb.

This will likely make it into tomorrow's Nightly

Good cset: https://hg.mozilla.org/mozilla-central/ ... 44fe3ce820
Bad cset: https://hg.mozilla.org/mozilla-central/ ... 90b28706b1

I'm too tired to run mozregress tonight and no time tomorrow. ](*,)

EDIT: after a couple of unsuccessful restores I back up to last good, tabs restored ok, then I bookmarked those tabs. Re-installed the 'suspect bad' build and again only had blank 'New Tabs', I then restored tabs from the bookmarked set I just created, deleted the 'new tabs', restarted the browser and the tabs restored. File format change somewhere ? I'm not seeing anything obvious yet.

EDIT: Appears that there may have been some file changes, as my session is now 17kb and restoring on subsequent restarts, where before the issue arose my file size was as stated above, 120kb.. so, maybe something in the file size compression can't / won't restore 'old' files.. that will be 'UGLY' if true.

Thanks, appreciated.

EDIT: Just tested and the issue with sessionstore is working OK with the above back-out. Thanks again.

I filed Bug 1274787 - [Session Restore]Gmail pinned tabs are not restored most of the times

I don't know if that's related to the issue described in the quoted posts (which was fixed by backing out bug 1267910),
but, I have updated to the latest Nighly (see changeset link) which contains the above backout, and the issue remains.

'(Firefox for desktop) list fixed bugs in Mercurial' userscript:
as a list: v4.2.2 and, as a sortable table: either v5.5.4 (for all channel users) or v5.5.4 (especially for inbound users).

Is there a bug opened regarding the screen going black when viewing pictures? It seems to be happening quite a lot now. Once it does happen it affects every page I go to.

I've not seen one, and so far not seen anything like black-screens on win32 builds on my Win10 system, other than the occasional glitch, random blacked out areas cleared with a tab switch, which I think is probably crummy Intel drivers for the HD530.

Didn't OmegaX have the black screen problem?

That was regarding videos. I do not recall if it was fixed or backed out or... :-"

Might be my video drivers. I use the beta drivers and there have been about three of them in the last few weeks. The black screen problem is about that old.

Probably amd drivers, I'm using 16.5.2.1 and even with a new profile and using firefox stable it happens from time to time, disabling hardware acceleration or reverting to previous drivers should fix the issue, (blacklisting this driver may be a good idea).
