Firefox update interval

Post by psaulm119 »

Not sure if this belongs in builds or not, I'm using Beta.

I see there are two about:config settings for updates. One is the app.update.interval. the other is the app.update.promptWaitTime.

(1) The first governs how often FF checks for updates, correct?

(2) Now the second governs when, after verifying that there is an update, FF notifies you that there is an update, correct?

From Mozillazine Knowledge Base - "...the Software Update feature has two ways to notify the user of an available update: a small notification/alert that pops up, and the full-blown Software Update dialog box. This preference determines how long to wait after displaying the unobtrusive alert before showing the full Software Update dialog. "
