https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=1299776. Videos just started working for me. Anyone else see it working now?

Still stuck loading forever here, a reload of page will then play. Same thing in a new unchanged profile.

Does this play OK for you? http://www.cnn.com/videos/weather/2016/ ... ndfall.cnn.

Are you using an adblocker? I wonder if my adblocker (uBlocko) has helped fix the problem. I'm on the latest beta.

I just disabled uBlocko and the problem came back. Either the beta has 'fixed' the problem or maybe some new filters. Here's the version of uBlocko I am running... https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefo ... /1.9.11rc1

that one plays, but I played that video earlier, seems that previously played videos will play again when opened.

Only blocking I'm using is the built-in 'tracking protection', and Flashblock.

As I stated previous, a clean non-changed out of the box new profile also will 'hang' and not load.

In my case it appears uBlocko is actually fixing my problem. I'm sure it is just serendipity. The beta I'm on does have some specific fixes when running under Firefox. Here's the link... https://github.com/gorhill/uBlock/relea ... /1.9.11rc1

Seems I have two problems. Videos like the one at http://www.cnn.com/videos/weather/2016/ ... ndfall.cnn which weren't playing before now are. However, videos at http://edition.cnn.com/videos still hang for a while or until I refresh the page.

I just installed your uBlock beta into the virgin profile, and still getting hangs trying to load videos.

CNN, is the only site I've run into the hangs.

Maybe it's the filter list I use. Here's what I use below. I also run with Tracking Protection disabled. I was wrong about videos not playing at http://edition.cnn.com/videos. They do play after about 5 seconds or so.

I can reproduce the problem. Video would not play on Nightly52.0a1 e10s without any addon.

And http://edition.cnn.com/videos also would not play.

Reload(f5) fixes the problem.

(Mozilla would not fix this. Mozilla is waiting to disappear plug-ins from the world.)

From my tests it appears uBlocko is enabling the videos to play. As a test in safe mode the video at http://www.cnn.com/videos/weather/2016/ ... ndfall.cnn would not play right away unless I did an F5. Videos at http://edition.cnn.com/videos did play but a crash dump was produced in the background. Back in normal mode the videos at http://edition.cnn.com/videos also played but I didn't get a crash dump. The other video also plays fine.

I'm leaning towards some type of ad or some other thing that uBlocko is blocking as being responsible for all videos working as they should at CNN. Of course this is really just a workaround. Obviously one shouldn't need an ad blocker to get the videos to work correctly I would think.

How good is the dump since I think it has no symbols?

Oh drat, totally spaced it that m-i, m-c hourly's don't have symbols, thus... useless (wonder if a Nightly build once one is built would still crash )

I've not seen any background crashes here.

That crash has the 'classic Flash-crash' signature.

What's funny with the crash is that it doesn't show up in safe mode. When I get back in normal mode is when it shows up. I am assuming the video playing in safe mode caused the crash. I don't get crashes just by going between safe mode and normal mode for anything else.

Let's not overlook the fact that I'm running 64-bit Fx52. You and Alice are running 32-bit. Might make a difference.
