Not having much success with all the version 50 builds up to now. For me the initial startup is really slow with all the 50 betas.
Have gone back to 49.0.1 for now.

Have you tried safe mode? Do you have the same issue with 51 or 52?

I didn't think of trying it in safe mode. In hindsight I should have given that a go.

I'll try out 51 tomorrow and see what happens.

Update

Just trying out 51 and I'm getting no slowdown on startup. It's running as fast as 49.

Been using version 51a2 for a couple of hours now.
For me it's working far better than 50 beta7.
