Videos delay playing on cnn.com again

Try this video... http://www.cnn.com/videos/politics/2016 ... rig-jm.cnn The spinner in the tab goes round and round. Refreshing the page will get the video going. This is the same problem as a previous bug report which somehow got fixed. Now it's back. With me this only seems to happen if the videos is in a structure like www.cnn.com/videos/....

JR did you try this on Nightly? It might also be a Windows 10 thing or an Fx 64 bit thing.

Yes Nighty... there is a 5-10 second delay before starting but I did not refresh

I tried it with a new profile and the spinner just kept on spinning. It's only after a refresh did it play. Under my full profile I can't even get it to play.

That vid took forever to start (did not refresh but it did finally run) so ????? So I agree something is wrong somewhere

Everything was working fine a few days ago on Nightly. Hey Alice, if you also have this problem perhaps you can use your uncanny abilities to track down a regression.

Mozilla would not investigate the problem related Flash.

I'm not convinced it totally a Flash issue. From the CNN front page, scrolling down to 'Videos you should see' and picking any one they will not play or ever load it just gets stuck loading.

I can disable Flash, and CNN will deliver the video in HTML5 as it does in IE.

Most if not all embedded videos in news stories will play, only those as stated above need a refresh of page to make them play.

I'm more inclined to think its a CNN coding issue.

EDIT: Setting as Alice noted above permissions.default.image = 2 will cause NO images to load at all on the site.

btw... the html5 used at cnn.com is low quality, probably meant for a phone or the like.
