Er that's how I found it...and removed it.
Clearly listed !!...other than for folks like us, would be in Add-ons/Extensions with a remove option. ;)

:-k I'm not on the home PC but I think that's what I changed to false and it was still showing Enabled/true in Troubleshooting.

I remember reading about this some time ago. I hope that you did not just 'break' your installation.

But have no fear because i doubt that you have do so.. I figure that it will be built-in when they decide that it works well enough. :-)

Yep that's the one I set to false, restarted a couple of times to make sure and until I nuked the appropriate file in the Features folder it was still showing Enabled/true in Troubleshooting.
No doubt with the next Beta update it will return. ](*,)

Yup, but doing silent updates does make some sense. Keeping the browser current does keep "the Great Unwashed" up to date and more protected.

Maybe, but would Google want any of them ? :(
Googe is a profitable cash machine and Mozilla is a non-profit charity

It is about getting (hopefully) for them better paying jobs. But, then, Google could start sponsoring more H1B visas and train their replacements who will work for less pay.

I found this on GHacks:

So it sounds like you need it. :-)

I don't need ANY Extension that's not clearly 'findable', OFF by default and with an option to Remove, Enable or Disable, if you're familiar with Mozilla's MozSpeak BS and Kiddie Pic Promotion method, that would be all about USER control.
