NewTab border bug

Post by Kyle8910 »

Hello, first time trying the forum here, so I hope it goes well. So... the issue is that today, with no system or version changes, the bottom of my newtab page has been visually and functionally cut off. The problem seems to be caused by the newtab-margin-bottom. It is overlapping the page and blocking any content under it.

I tried updating the nightly build to 50.0a1 but the newtab page is still broken. I also tried solutions similar to this: https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/questions/1012008. If I could simply remove the HTML coding relating to the top and bottom border, that would effectively solve the issue.

Also happens in safe mode?

Interesting idea... It seems the bug is gone in safe mode. Now to do some testing to see what is causing this, I have few add-ons.

Edit: It seems that none of the add-ons caused it... After entering and leaving safe mode, the problem was still fixed. I can only assume that some setting was reset by going in safe mode.

Feel free to theory craft as to why this happened, I'm willing to help. Otherwise, I think I can call this solved. Thank you!
