Promise?
What sort of man would put a known criminal in charge of a major branch of government? Apart from, say, the average voter.

Just got an email from Mozilla since I'm subscribed as an addon developer.

It appears that they plan on disabling extensions.legacy.enabled when Firefox 57 hits beta approximately on September 25th. Hopefully, this config setting will still be available on Nightly, but judging from the wording, it looks like this might not be the case as I still rely on some legacy addons.

I agree the wording there isn't particularly clear.

But From the Addons Blog:

Will it be possible to enable legacy addons in Nightly 58+?
I guess all legacy addons will be broken by the time Nightly 58 is released?

Yes, and quite possibly yes.

We understand that improved file system support is a desirable feature and we will continue to explore options to provide this functionality in a safe and secure manner as the Firefox team plans its future releases.

I guess that might be worked around just like extension signing?

Gorhill can't upload his WebExtension to AMO: https://github.com/gorhill/uBlock/releases/tag/1.13.10

not sure why he still surround it with legacy data. firefox is able to use webxtensions since v52, he should go that way. 52esr user should stick with the latest legacy final which is running fine that far.

Gorhill is more considerate of his users than Firefox.

Gorhill did that for the AMO Beta channel. He is attempting to do the same on the AMO (release) channel.

and now he had done (1.14.0) - congrats.

currently in use in firefox 57
- Bookmarks Organizer 1.3.0
- Canvas Defender 1.1.0
- Context Search 3.13
- Cookie AutoDelete 1.4.3
- Elite Download Manager 0.1.0
- Google search link fix 1.6.5
- Local CDN 0.1.3 or Decentraleyes 2.0.0beta1
- Magic Actions for YouTube 6.9.1.2
- Mouse Gesture Events 1.5
- OneTab 1.18.0 (own conversion)
- Reload Skip Cache Button 1.2
- Stylus 1.1.3.1 (very equal to chrome Stylish ;))
- uBlock Origin 1.14.0
- Undo Close Tab Button 1.3
- Violentmonkey 2.6.3

added:
- Redirect Bypasser 2.1.3
not perfect - i am missing "redirect bypasser",a proper snippet ext. like Clippings (no current WE present, under dev.), a cookie on/off button like "cs lite mod" and ofc a decent speeddial (currently nothing really impressing). the list is similar to my current final firefox and to chromium.

thats a beginning.
"tab sessions" dont exists although it has a website
https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefo ... -sessions/

it has advantage here to run chromium fully featured like firefox and to spot what may possible. it makes some work to load, examine, change and upload code. just this hour i found out that OneTab is spying via google-Analytics. it made me open my eyes a little bit more and i am going to investigate some more on my extensions.
