I can drop text into the url bar. The pointer becomes the circle with the \ in it when on the url bar but otherwise it does work. I'm on the latest inbound btw.

That's strange. For me nothing happens, when I release. The url remains there.
Maybe it's different for inbound due to different compilation?

I decided to compare tab switching performance once more:
Nightly e10s 2 content processes no addons - 13 seconds
Release e10s 2 content processes 11 seconds

Nightly e10s 2 content processes TMP+uBlock Origin+NoScript: 35 seconds
Release e10s 2 content processes TMP+uBlock Origin+NoScript: 16 seconds

Funny thing is, TMP and NoScript are supposed to be fully e10s compatible but they slow down the browser. Also, e10 off is still the leader in terms of tab switching performance.
