I really hope they fixed the favicon bug because I lost all my favicons and that's really starting to be irritating now.

Since the favicons come from the site(s) at least they will come back for you. :-)

They don't, I tried that. All bookmark favs are gone and don't wanna show up again.
First. You do know that you are using an "alpha grade version" of Firefox?

Second. I would be willing to bet that there are more pressing problems or "tests in progress" than the 'eye-candy' that is favicons. This does not actually break Firefox.

It will get fixed sooner or later.

I haven't lost all of mine. I do see some missing where there should be one.

Web pages still load and display without any problems. That's all I care about.

The awesome bar results are not being highlighted on mouse hover for me can someone confirm?
