To say honestly, I haven't noticed any improvement but I have 500+ tabs 10+ windows sessions so... :-"
Well, i have almost 1000 tabs in 4 windows and...restoring tabs was a pain for me. But now Firefos starts like in 5 seconds to me, while it was several minutes. It awesome win for me.

Is there an addon to get the sidebars back on the left? I hate it right, that's why I don't use chrome or any other browser.
If not, might as well switch to another browser then...

Left side is the default... You must have an addon or some kinda hack that moved it.... Try starting Firefox in safe mode and see what you get...

Nope, that's the new default behavior of ff, they moved it to the right. Launching nightly in safe mode still has it on the right.
Trully the worst change ever. The team really doesn't care about the user choices.

Try this in userChrome, or Stylish; It moves the bar to the right with the current Fx (just tried it)...maybe with your nightly, 'reverse' will move it to the left ?

Code: Select all

/* Display the sidebar on the left */
#browser { -moz-box-direction: reverse; }
@I changed 'right' to 'left

You may need to add the !important flag.
#browser { -moz-box-direction: reverse !important; }

https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=1358854
In bug 1355331 has been implemented default sidebar position on the right side. If Firefox wants to be a customizable browser, it should add an option into the UI to move the sidebar to the left.
And it looks like the guy who reported the bug works for Mozilla.
Sorry for my poor English.

My bad, he has 208 "assigned to" bugs in his bugzilla account so I decided he works for Mozilla :-"

A word of caution here folks please don't add comments to the bug, it just annoys developers and adds 'noise' to the bug and these type things is 'off-putting' and bugs tend to get ignored rather than fixed.

Want to add something ? Submit a patch for approval or consideration. otherwise lets just see where this goes.

I've had quite a few crashes since updating to the latest nightly along the lines of this one: https://crash-stats.mozilla.com/report/ ... d270170423

Has anyone else experienced anything similar?
Cheers!

That's distinctly odd since I've turned the extension off, it shouldn't be interfering with the browser at all. :evil:
Cheers!

The WRusr.dll shows as active in some of the threads if you click show all threads in the crash report.
