is it just me or hang for you too.

str:

1. shift+f2 to open toolbar.
2. type "pref set "
(w/o quote, space after "set").
3. press upward arrow on your keyboard.
4. press tab on your keyboard.
5. press backspace 2 times.
6. type something e.g. w

ui will briefly hang.

Shift-F2 pref set tab backspace w does cause a slight hang for me, both Windows and Linux.

The hang is easier to see if you type "123" instead of "w". When there is a hang the "1" appears and there is a delay before "23" appears.

And the pref set hang seems to be gone with today's Nightly.
