Firefox is making great progress with performance and multi-processes. However, PWAs are becoming more and more relevant as mobiles are taking over the web. I wish to start this thread to grab attention and also track progress that Firefox makes in this area.

Create boolean and toggle browser.pwa.enabled to get better PWA experience on Firefox right now.

There has been quite a bit of active work on supporting PWAs in Firefox over the past few months (or year, really), and support has been improving steadily. You can already create a boolean about:config option browser.pwa.enabled and set it to true, and the apps on pwa.rocks will work somewhat (but there are some important bugs left to fix like this one). The current work seems to mostly be on getting the standalone mode working, and you can get a sense of the overall progress by monitoring the dependencies of the meta-bug.
