I just tried out one of the compact themes, and when I turned normal back on, and now it's very ugly (white) compared to before.

After:

Is this a bug, or intended?

So why did they change the icon for Nightly?
Not only the planet is now just an empty ball but the tail tip is different to all other Firefox icons

Firefox icon will be also changed soon, probably with the same design language as Nightly.

Could be that with the removal of Aurora / Developer Edition Mozilla wants to encourage more people to use Nightly and making the Icon more akin to the other branches may help with adoption.
I'd imagine if we'd still use the Minefield Icon, Nightly user-base would be noticeably smaller.
