The slashdot problem seems to be resolved.

Any idea why ublock origin fails to display properly with 57b3?
I am using v1.14.11rc0......
EDIT: Is it me or extensions.legacy.enabled settings doesn't work? Cause all of my legacy addons still stay "disabled"

Loading here now and I've changed nothing. Perhaps they updated the out of date cert that expired in Jan 2017Peja Stija wrote:Loads just fine here.bjherbison wrote:Can anyone reach https://slashdot.org/ with the latest Nightly?
I get "not secure" and "HSTS...not possible to add an exception".
What changed in Nightly that causes this? (Time for another Evangelism bug?)

I thought extensions.legacy.enabled was going to be a Nightly-only feature starting in 57 and would not work when 57 rolls into Beta/Dev or Release. Also, that thought (not working in Beta 57 nor Release 57) seems to be confirmed by the Compatibility Table in Add-ons/Firefox57.GHM113 wrote:extensions.legacy.enabled works fine here.

If this is the case, then there is no working NoScript or uMatrix for firefox 57....uMatrix is exhibiting the same issue as uBlock Origin as I shown above.Mark12547 wrote:I thought extensions.legacy.enabled was going to be a Nightly-only feature starting in 57 and would not work when 57 rolls into Beta/Dev or Release. Sorry for the confusion, I thought you were talking about Nighty so I said extensions.legacy.enabled worked fine implying it worked fine in Nightly 58Mark12547 wrote:I thought extensions.legacy.enabled was going to be a Nightly-only feature starting in 57 and would not work when 57 rolls into Beta/Dev or Release

Yes, it is an easy mistake to make since the thread is titled as if it were Nightly, but includes both Beta and Nightly. I just happened to remember that legacy extensions wouldn't be allowed at all in 57 Beta nor in 57 Release (except for Mozilla-authored extensions), so I looked at the User Agent of the browser used (shown at the bottom of every post) and realized it was discussing Beta (or Dev), not Nightly.
uMatrix has WebExtensions beta versions available on the AMO Beta channel, but you may want to double-check the release notes. Direct link to the AMO Beta channel for uMatrix: https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefo ... sions/beta
NoScript WebExtensions is in the works. The best I found was at https://noscript.net/getit but what I read looks like they have a hybrid versions but not a pure WebExtensions version available at this time, and unfortunately one can't coax Beta 57 to load legacy extensions. The text on that page says that a WebExtensions version of NoScript will be available on AMO before 57 rolls into the Release Channel.

Did anyone experience strange bugs with keyword searches on RC build5 FF56? Today I've been getting the same url reloaded or the wrong url loaded...
