ff b57 memory leak youtube

Post by derekm »

When I run lots ( 20 or so ) tabs of youtube ( only one running ), memory usage creeps up as expected.

When I close all of the tabs of youtube, the memory usage does NOT go down.

I have a jpg of windows task manager showing firefox using 3.7GB of ram with firefox not running.

Are you running Firefox Nightly? According to the forum software you're running FF58.

Tired of constant Firefox UI changes? XUL extensions are not working anymore? Try SeaMonkey, Waterfox Classic, Pale Moon.

some users even reporting issue without any extensions.
someonje should try Adblock Plus an Disable Ubo to see if they get the same problem

Same effect with Adblock Plus, won't release memory.

so that rules that out that its a Extension issue. looks like its a Browser problem, an i thought firefox Memory was supposed to be better handled from 57 onwards .
