Lots of questions and complaints about disabling Pocket recommendations on the new tab page. Is there a way to enable them as well? I don't see them. They do appear on mobile, though—I'd like them on desktop as well instead of tapping 'Send to device'.
extensions.pocket.enabled is set to true; the only options on the new tab page are 'Search', 'Top websites', 'Highlights' and 'Snippets'.

Solved on Reddit.
the top stories will only be enabled in the us, canada and germany at the moment. you could tweak it through setting "browser.newtabpage.activity-stream.feeds.section.topstories" to "true" though...
