They must have fixed the (now second, Windows) update bug. Tonight I got 59.0a1 (2018-01-18) (64-bit) Build 20180118012136 (thought where I am in the US Pacific Time Zone it is 2018-01-17 for another 2.25 hours).

I also noticed that the Beta identifies itself as 58.0 (64-bit) (no "b" in the version number so it must be getting ready for rolling into Release, possibly after a few tweaks) and Developer as 59.0b1 (64-bit) (so feature set of 59 is probably cast in stone). Official roll dates are next week. (See https://wiki.mozilla.org/RapidRelease/Calendar.)

Is the webrender bug id, when you load a website getting the 'spinning wheel', but not actually loading the site?

Do you have Tab Warming enabled? That creates permanent spinners for me when using WebRender...

Ah yes, it could be it. Is a known issue?

Has anyone tested tab warming? How well does it work?

Don't know. As tab warming isn't enabled by default I'm not sure if you should report a bug right now.

It works very well. Tab switch time is practically non existent when it is active.

It isn't active in all cases though, e.g. if you close tabs with the keyboard.
