With tonight's latest Nightly update, BuidID 20180215220507 on Win64 left the tabs on the tab bar nearly unreadable and the tab for the active tab being totally unreadable as black on black with the fiziogit theme (which I had been using for several months) and with all the built-in themes save one: the Light (built-in) theme allowed all tabs to be readable.

I ended up setting the Default theme and installing the VivaldiFox "theme" to customize a set of colors that look good and leave the tabs quite readable and the active tab now stands out clearly. The only additional fix I needed was to remove the shadows that caused blurring of the text in the tabs by adding to my profile file chrome\userChrome.css and have it contain

Code: Select all

:root, .tabbrowser-tab {
  text-shadow: none !important;
}
and restart Nightly, and now it looks nice, at least to my eyes. :)

So, are others also experiencing light-weight themes and the built-in themes (other than Light) not working as they did before tonight's update?

Yea! :!:

This morning's partial was 9.5 MB, a vast improvement over what it was this past week!

Once again they did something to the 'new tab' page layout. I had it set (don't remember now how) for 4x4 tiles, now I have 8x2. I'm too sick to care right now.

Yeah, there goes my local file tiles on my newtab page (clicking them has no effect without activity-stream enabled = false) Guess I'll have to bookmark them instead.

.....Anyone encounter weird issue on something pop-up on the tab before disappearing quickly after website done loading?

EDIT:
Last time, there is only flashing blue line on the tab. Now a whole mini screen (A preview of the website content) pop up after tab loading complete? :shock:

I haven't seen anything like that.

Where was your focus when the tab loaded? Where was your mouse cursor?

It would be an interesting feature to have a mini-view of a tab show when moving the mouse over the tab bar. That would be helpful when I have large numbers of tabs.
