No freeze and no browser crash for me. There was a delay, but I have a bad network connection today.

I'm using today's second Nightly on Ubuntu.

I can reproduce the hang on Firefox62b5 at least.
However, it seems that it can not be reproduced on Nightly 63.0a1.

The following bug will fix the hang too.
#1470355 [Core:Networking]-Firefox is unresponsive when visiting https://www.youtube.com/premium [All]

I am on Windows 10 (64-bit), Intel Core i5-7400; GPU is Intel(R) HD Graphics 630, 12 GB RAM. The versions of Firefox are the latest according to Help -> About Firefox, and they are all en-US, Windows, 64-bit.

Nightly (both my regular profile and with a new profile): a brief delay but the FAQ comes up.

Release (new profile): after loading the page there is a delay until it thinks the page has loaded, then it appears to be working just fine.

Beta (new profile): there is a significant delay until Firefox thinks it has finished receiving the page (maybe 5-10 seconds), then the whole UI changes mouse into a rotating circle until I have to crash Firefox (clicking on the X and then on the pop-up tell Windows to go ahead and close it). about:crashes and about:support show no crash reports. Through additional testing and having both about:performance and the Windows Task Manager open, I learned that when it hangs, it is the Firefox parent process that stops responding, at least according to the Windows Task Manager "not responding" by a task, and matching that up to the parent task in about:support (and clicking to display more details on the "about:support" tab, which of course I have to do before locking up the browser.

However, when I turn off hardware acceleration in the Beta, restart Firefox, and then try to reproduce the issue, the page does not hang.

Dev (new profile) behaves just like Beta (New Profile): after Firefox thinks the FAQ page has finished painting, the parent process becomes unresponsive and the mouse pointer becomes a rotating circle when the mouse pointer is anywhere on the Firefox window. But if I launch Dev, then turn off hardware acceleration, stop and restart Dev, then when I repeat the steps the FAQ finishes painting fairly quickly and the FAQ page appears to be operational.

I think it is worth reporting this bug because on or about 2018-09-05 version 62 will roll into Release and then a lot of people may experience this problem.

Anyway, you need to clear cache everything to test it. Or test with new profile. Because this is the necko related bug.

And I already mentioned above, this will be fixed by #1470355.

I wonder if that bug was what caused the crash on the first visit to https://gaming.youtube.com/ not too long ago :-k
