I sometimes get tab crashes when I go to weather.com, specifically to my bookmarked location: https://weather.com/weather/today/l/97305:4:US

Sometimes the tab crashes when the page loads; sometimes when scrolling down. I would estimate about a fifth of the times I visit using the above URL the tab crashes.

These are some of the more recent tab crashes:

I have not noticed any tab crashes on the other websites I frequent.

PS: I have dom.ipc.processCount set to 12, fewer than 12 tabs open, and this is the first site I visit after opening the tab, so when I visit weather.com it is with a new content process.

Looks like your hitting bug https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=1476872 <- which appears to have a patch ready but not yet approved or landed in Nightly.

It looks like the same signature, but I am not convinced the bug addresses it because the tab crashes happens when I am not shutting down the browser. Nonetheless I have added myself to the CC list so I can speak up again after this Bug has landed and then if I still experience tab crashes.

Using Asan 28th build, no immediate crash for now.

Edit: Well, I have to admit it do crash pretty quick, after I opened Facebook and started watching a video.

Bug 1477415 - Autoplay is blocked even on standalone top level audio/video document
No prefs to change the behavior.
