Need confirmation on this:

1. Go to https://www.gigabyte.com/Motherboard/Z3 ... upport-doc
2. Under the Downloads heading click on any of the links to open a pdf.
3. Does nothing happen? Works fine in MS Edge.

The pdfs are located in my download folder but they do not open automatically in the browser. This was a problem a few weeks ago that was corrected. Seems it got regressed again.

It just automatically downloads it for me without any prompts. It's because of this on the website:

Code: Select all

onclick="SendGaEvent('DownloadFile', 'Memory-Url:http://download.gigabyte.us/FileList/Memory/mb_memory_z370-aorus-gaming-7_180420.pdf',location.pathname + location.search);
I wish Firefox would ignore download requests for PDFs by default...

Nightly just updated to 64.0a1 (2018-10-08) (64-bit) Build-ID 20181008220129 under Windows 10 (64-bit) before I came across your message. Clicking on any of the "America" download links opens a dialog for me asking if I want the file opened in Acrobat Reader DC or to download it. (In Menu -> Options, down in "Applications", I have Nightly configured to "Always ask" for "Portable Document Format (PDF)", and I have Adobe Acrobat Reader DC installed as my PDF reader.)

I have it set to default ("preview" in Nightly) so it definitely shouldn't do that.

Progress bars in the download panel look broken. Can anybody reproduce? Windows 10 1809, latest Nightly:

(it should have had a grey region representing the unfinished MBs and blue region for the finished MBs)

Strange. I can reproduce on a new profile too, with or without hardware acceleration enabled. Will see if I can narrow down the issue and file a bug.

Performance on the new https://store.google.com/us/product/pixel_3?hl=en-US page is really bad with WebRender on.
Update: Actually it's bad without WR too...

Getting a tonne of errors on that page. It's also slow in Edge, my guess is website issue.

For anyone having issues with keyboard shortcuts in today's Nightly (or even just typing the letter "t" in Google Docs), try setting dom.keyboardevent.keypress.set_keycode_and_charcode_to_same_value to false in about:config. Bug 1479964 seems to be causing some issues due to UA detection. See also bug 1497518.

Edit: Fixed in latest Nightly (defaults to false) by bug 1497546.

WebRender will be enabled for targeted systems in Beta 64, but in stable this won't happen before Firefox 65 (or later).
