Noticed certain issues regarding the autoplay checkbox (general, not per-site) since the middle of Nightly 65 and, curiously enough, today I finally filed bug 1513612 for that: the feature isn't exactly broken, but checking its current state is a hassle :(

No; opening a page with media having sound can automatically play it when the page is opened (e.g. YouTube). The checkbox prevents this behavior and it has been there for a while (Nightly 65 at least).

It initially worked fine but by the end of Nightly 65 the checkbox appears unchecked whenever you open its page (about:preferences / Privacy & Security / Permissions). However its last setting is kept and sites respect it (YouTube at least, see the Identity and Permissions panel for the page), it's only that the Options page won't tell us what it is. See bug 1513612.

Yeah, everyone summed up my issue greatly, is there a fix coming for the bug soon? Also, any ideas on why, when I press the update button for Nightly, sometimes it doesn't automatically restart? I have to click on it again to restart the build so it can finish updating. Just started happening the last week or so. Maybe a bug on the Mac build?
