I upped FF to 68, now what and how to delete

remove the extensions from Get Add-ons

i dont have that tab (left side) - using Aris ctr collection (userChrome.css)

but extensions.htmlaboutaddons.enabled is no longer working - it presents a white page with nothing. seems that the old XUL manager is going to be phased out now.

You can check this pref on the about:config page:
extensions.htmlaboutaddons.recommendations.enabled = false

Doesn't appear to work in Nightly 70.0a1, even after a restart.

Still curious as too why the OP didn't want to remove the extensions from Get Add-ons when that was the name of the tab.

I don't have a tab named Get Add-ons. when I go to tools addons-no page comes up with that at all. No menu to add it. No menu to delete them. Which is what my conversation is all about;.

The extensions.htmlaboutaddons.recommendations.enabled pref is about removing recommendation added under Extensions and Themes.
It won't affect the Recommendations (previously named Get Add-ons) tab.

You can create a new Boolean pref with the name extensions.getAddons.showPane and set its value to value to hide the first section on the about:addons page.
