"1-click select all" in quantum bar?

Post by notonymous »

In my configuration, I normally have "browser.urlbar.clickSelectsAll=true" and "browser.urlbar.doubleClickSelectsAll=false".

This worked fine with the old urlbar -- i.e. a single click in the urlbar selected all of the contents of the urlbar so I could start typing a new URL.

In Fx 69, with the new quantum bar, single click select all doesn't seem to work or, rather, it works intermittently (mostly not) and I can only select all using a triple click. Setting "browser.urlbar.doubleClickSelectsAll=true" still works -- i.e. a double click in the urlbar selects all of the contents of the urlbar.

Is the single click opion no longer supported in quantum bar?

Maybe this or similar, http://forums.mozillazine.org/viewtopic ... #p14836425.

All I know is I don't have consistency, a nice thing - every once in a while, between, oh, who knows, between versions 69 vs 70, between settings (that I may or may not have changed), between behaviors observed.

I'm at the point now, that I "just deal with it".

So one profile selects the full line, & another selects a point in the line, & ...

Not worth fighting, because once you've won the fight, tomorrow they'll turn around & change things again - for the better ;-).

Thanks for the reference. I'll wait until #1562145 is uplifted to Fx 69 see if that has any effect.
