Hmm.. Just noticed this today, YouTube often forgets volume and resolution settings when opening new videos from a playlist (not sure what exactly causes it). Also, "Open Containing Folder" from downloads drop-down is opening the file as well as the folder location (super annoying bug).

It might depend on file type. I just tried a test on Linux and got the previous/expected behavior, but there is a similar bug reported for Linux a week ago.

From what I've seen so far, every filetype is doing it. I might be a Windows only bug atm but that bug you linked is still open?

Confirmed... Open Containing Folder and immediately the installer launches...

Win10 here 1903

EDIT: it only happens from the navbar icon. If you open 'show all downloads' then use the 'open container' the installer does not launch
