Firefox does not save CSV file

Post by joe935 »

Just updated Desktop from FF 92.Ob2 to Ob3 and 2 of the file types are missing in the General / Applications window are missing:
CSV and WEBCAL. It does not even open the save window.
My Laptop was also updated to Ob3 and those 2 files types are in the listing
I have tried a refresh and a delete and reinstall and problem not resolved.

Desktop windows 10 - version 21H1 (OS Build 19043.1165)

Laptop windows 10 - version 21H1 (OS Build 19043.1181) Laptop saves CSV file

I could post an image if I knew how here

Hi, I believe that these are all free.

eg;...Using "postimages.org",
0/. Upload your image.
1/. Select > from the "Do not resize" drop down, 640 x 480.
2/. No expiration. (Leave as default or as you require.
3/. Choose > Images to upload.
3a/. After the image/s have been uploaded.
4/. Select > Hot Link for Forum.
5/. Paste that link in your forum thread.
6/. Your image will be displayed in your post.

That "Notify Me......" link does play up occasionally.
We cannot do anything to repair it....Sorry.

Hi,
Your link just opens the Main Page & not your image.
You have to SELECT your image etc., etc.

A suggestion...
Try running in Firefox "Safe Mode".

I don't understand because I see the image on this page. I followed your instructions.

My neighbor was telling me this might have something to do with Microsoft

Microsoft should not interfere with Firefox or any other programs. AFAIK.

Did you SELECT your image as per #4 & #5?

Hovering the cursor over the link points to "https://postimages.org/"

Safe mode made no difference to the problem

I ran the command "C:\Program Files\Mozilla Firefox\firefox.exe" -safe-mode
and
also used trouble shoot Mode from help menu
Neither one gave me any indication that i was in a safe mode

Problem solved.
Some how "block popup windows" was checked. Don't know how because this save CSV file worked on the 12th and did not work on the 13th.
Most likely the update to the latest beta made the change.
I just reinstalled Firefox 92.0b3 and CSV has shown up in the Applications box

Hi,
Many thanks for reporting the errant preference/option.

May help others that strike the same problem.

ps. Your link works fine. I was using an old/er Firefox version that did not parse the link correctly.
