The function to replace the session is not clear and seems very difficult.. copy profile, copy location of json file paste what where...

sure looks like it could be... That actually landed in this morning's Nightly but I had not closed the browser all day until tonight's update.

I just added a comment to the bug...

I got my session recovered what a hard way to do backups... now looking at my current session in my working profile am I supposed to a seesionstore.jsonlz4 file ? I don't see one.. the backup 'folder' looks to have right time-stamps and file size. I'm not closing my browser till we get somewhere on this.

It's Nightly.

Throughout the past years of using Nightly, I've gotten my tabs nuked at least twice.

If I wanted session stability I'd quit Nightly and logically go to Stable, not illogically jump to Chromium.

Anyway Simple Tab Groups does the trick, and because it creates backups in the downloads folder, and my downloads folder is the Desktop, I get a new STG folder every month.

i dont think Ghosts will test Nightlies? someone has to, i have a stable browser on my PC, its called Microsoft Edge 95.

Saw it in a Reddit thread.

Some of my extensions are not working only in my main profile (Tree Style Tab, Copy Frame URL, Undo Close Tab, etc.). I'm not sure if it's the same regression or not.

Mine was also nuked last night after the update.

Quit and restarted and everything was back, and still using it.
