I've been having some strange issues with video. It first happened about a month ago (I always use nightly builds), and lasted a week or so, then went away. However it happened to me again today.

Problem: After about half a day of browsing (~10-12 hours), video on YouTube starts going glitchy. First it'll be a high-speed flickering, and then the screen area will go entirely black. Nothing seems to fix this (such as a hard refresh of the page), and any new pages opened are also stuck with the black screen. Audio continues to play normally. The only thing that seems to fix it is shutting down Firefox, and restarting.

Obviously, reproducing this is extremely time consuming, and possibly not very reliable, making it difficult to make a meaningful bug report. I wondered if anyone else had encountered this recently, or if there was any known bug report, or current work on the video system.

I got a similar problem on my config with the only difference being that it's just videos that turn black and I haven't experienced flickering. Also, Microsoft Edge is somehow also affected: if I launch it alongside Nightly when the bug manifests itself, the web pages opened in MS Edge sometimes turn black (the entire page, not just video area like in Nightly). I am running Win10 with GTX2080, Webrender enabled.

The only solution I found is to set media.hardware-video-decoding.enabled to false. Updating Nvidia drivers didn't help.
Sorry for my poor English.
