UI is extremely unresponsive at times.
I have to constantly restart firefox to be able to load some website and even crashes when shutting down now as well.
Yeah no changes from me either, I am currently stuck on 2022-08-12 nightly because any build afterwards is unusable.

Couple of comments from those who asked:
- happens without any extensions, although one extension (Foxy Gestures) makes the problems show up much faster (usually immediately after startup)
- happens across two different computers where I'm using a nightly (both Windows)
- no unusual memory usage when this happens
- no unusual CPU usage either (ie. not an infinite loop)

It really looks like some kind of lock not being released until it times out. Whatever that lock is, it prevents parts of the UI from updating (such as URL bar suggestions) and prevents some, but not all, domains from networking.

When a domain stops working, favicons of that domain across all tabs become blank, too. If I were to speculate further, the URLbar dropdown might be freezing when it's trying to show a favicon from a frozen domain.

I really don't know how to debug this further. The problems appear anywhere from startup to 30 minutes later, making it harder to poke at.

Looking at 20220813 changes, there is only one networking change and zero cache-related changes I can see. But the cause has to be on that list, somehow.

Oh, I've never had a crash. Can you dig out some crash IDs from about:crashes? That's an excellent starting point to filing a bug (which I can do), much better than "things stop working randomly" one.
