Since it was so urgent i decided to download 07 build ( beta 1 ) to test it out. I find the new "look" actually much better than the old one. It is "clean" and much easier on the eyes.
Then i try out the important issue. How it looks on Classic skin. And it was disxxxxxx....... why? Surely we can have the best of both world?

They need to understand that the overwelming response is no to this bug and that far more ppl disagree with it then the # of ppl that were using FF prior to this bug on XP luna did with not having FF luna-fied.

Mr Conner already stated earlier today on the IRC #Firefox, if we want to complain, take it elsewhere.
Has the same attitude as the creator... Love it or leave it.

Most of these XP luna users probably don't even realise this is a bug. I doubt if any of them would've noticed it unless 1.5 gets released with this patch and then they'll realise Firefox didn't look like the rest of their setup.

I personally don't mind this. But I am saying this. How about a detector. You know, to detect the OS and theme you are using.... If it detects any other os than winxp, it'll use the old look. If you are using WinXP in classic, it'll use the old look... if you are using winxp with a theme other than classic, then use the new style.
This is something that's hard to code, so meh

Got screenshots? Because every screenshot I've seen, nothing really looks out of the ordinary. I don't think I'd even notice the change had I not seen that bug.

That's bug 243078, the bug mentionned in the first commend of the bug we're talking about.

It appears with the attitude of the devs that it's here to stay.
As was mentioned before, boycott testing and let's see when and what kind of crap beta 2 will look like.
Instead of concentrating on bugs (filenames in Save As, missing custom toolbars, Extension/theme search still searching) they're playing with pixels.

but if you don't test, they'll assume everything's fine when it isn't, and move on.AmboyGuy wrote:It appears with the attitude of the devs that it's here to stay.
