I curiously clicked on an irc:// link and of all things, Chatzilla appeared and seems to be working normally. I built Phoenix on 12/27 and assumed that Chatzilla was not included. What a surprise!
I checked the configure script and it lists irc as one member of MOZ_EXTENSIONS_DEFAULT.
Sure enough when I run configure, a Makefile is made in mozilla/extension/irc and I end up with Chatzilla. Of course the Phoenix menus don't have an option to start it, but clicking on that irc:// link does.
Has anybody else made a Phoenix with Chatzilla?
The folks on #chatzilla don't know anything about it.
Removing its reference in configure.in prevents it from being built. I imagine it will still build properly. Now I am wondering what else can be disabled.
