Do XFT builds under linux allow for other widget use?

For instance, if I were to compile and install an XFT enabled build would it allow me to use the default widgets I have going under Mosfets Liquid?

There is a Bugzilla bug open about using native widgets. Actually, there is a bug for linux, for windows, and one for Mac at a minimum.

I know they've done native widgets in Windows, and I thought they had done Linux. I can't find the bugs in Bugzilla, though.
