Ummm... no one has started coding the Add-ons Manager UI... it was moked up by one of the user experience / interface people and is currently being discussed. You may want to just use a build previous to the password manager bug until the developer that is working on the password manager fixes it.

See 393191 in red list. It looks like the next hourly may have the fix.

This is still happening for me after the respin today. But I am getting the breakpad send error report box. :)

Same for me, clean profile, double click a text box, crash.

It's this
https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=393191
And it's fixed in the
Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.9a8pre) Gecko/2007082215 Minefield/3.0a8pre ID:2007082215
Build
It's just that it's dawned on me that 'zero tolerance' only seems to mean putting extra police in poor, run-down areas, and not in the Stock Exchange.

** Flame On:

@Robert S. - I'm aware of the fact that NO Coding has been done on the addons UI, In fact, I really like it and hope they start working on it soon, It's a welcome change.

But, The Password manager bug was discovered quite a while ago and IMHO warrants an immediate fix. It's a security level bug, And to consider using a build prior to the the bugs discovery is not the answer and even if I did, The bug appeared in builds so long ago that to even consider using a pre-bug build would undo months of newly discovered bugs and fixes, again, not a serious option or even at option at all...

I'm sure there are developers who don't want to touch it, but it's my understanding that the fellow in charge of that piece of code was going on vacation a while back and then nothing ever happened. I would sure as hell code it myself if I knew how...It looks like it it might be fixed in the near future, I was just hoping on a quicker fix considering the nature of the bug and how may people it affects.

My .02 cents

** Flame off

Add your thoughts to the discussion page on the wiki. Hopefully, the more comments like ours, the greater the likelihood of them rethinking and dropping such unnecessary "bells and whistles."

Which is #13 on the top crash report.

What's the bug again?

I couldn't find any so I filled Bug 393394 – Firefox crashes when trying to install add-on from local folder

Edit: marked as duplicate of Bug 393309 – Crash @nsInstallTrigger::HandleContent when browsing directly to XPI file

BTW, what's BBCode for strikethrough text?
