Post by kindofabuzz »

why does using O2 with VC++6 produce a weird looking build that crashes? anyway to fix this?

Some other current builds are crashing if there's not already a profile to use, so it may or may not be because of the O2. Back in the old days when everybody was building with VC6, using O2 didn't work out well though - they were actually slower than O1 builds. I've only been able to try a VC6 O2 build once and it was very slow, and perhaps a bit flaky. Barring any deep knowledge about the code, VC6 and O2 aren't a good combination.
